When the customer has submitted the order, it is represented in Scifeon as a handover. This handover can be seen in the Handover Inbox panel on the frontpage dashboard with status 'Sent'.
A user from the assay department can mark the handover as 'Received', and the customer will then be notified by SMS or email, depending on their subscription settings.
Step 2: Mark Order as Received
In the frontpage dashboard, the new order will appear as a handover with status 'Sent':
To acknowledge the handover, click the check mark icon (green circle above). The status will then change 'Received' and the customer will be notified by SMS if a phone number has been provided:
