Module 4 Assays

This exercise workbook is designed to help you practice what you've learned in Module 4: Assays. Work through each task step by step. If you're unsure, refer to the slide module or Scifeon documentation.

Exercise 1: Assign a Test to a Sample
Objective: Assign one or more tests to an existing sample. Steps:
- Open the Samples module and locate a sample.
- Navigate to the 'Assigned Tests' section.
- Click 'Add Test' and select one or more test types from the list.
- Save the sample record. Expected Result: The selected tests should now appear linked to the sample.
Exercise 2: Enter Results for a Test
Objective: Use the result entry screen to input values.
Steps:
- Go to the Results Entry module.
- Select the sample or test from the available list.
- Enter values into the appropriate fields (numeric, text, etc.).
- Add a comment if relevant.
- Click 'Save'.
Expected Result: Result values are saved and marked as In Progress or Completed.
Exercise 3: Submit Results for Review
Objective: Change test result status to Submitted.
Steps:
- Open a completed result entry.
- Verify all required fields are filled.
- Click 'Submit' to change the status.
Expected Result: Test result status changes to Submitted.
Exercise 4: Review Test History and Audit Trail
Objective: View the history of a sample’s test record.
Steps:
- Open a sample with assigned and completed tests.
- Navigate to the test history or audit trail tab.
- Identify when the test was added, edited, and submitted.
Expected Result: You can view a timeline of actions taken on the test.
Exercise 5: Export Results
Objective: Export test data to Excel.
Steps:
- Go to the Results Entry module.
- Filter for samples with Completed or Submitted tests.
- Click the Export button to download the table.
Expected Result: You receive an Excel file with the test results.
